Sicil Zappa s.n.c. was founded in the mid 1960s to meet the demands of the local market, creating a proper distribution centre in the heart of Sicily, not only dealing in sales, but also providing after-sales mechanical assistance. In 1985, it then became a rotary tiller assembling company, looking to extend its range of action by proposing its own brand of products.
Four years later, it became a factory producing rotary tillers for the professional and hobby market, enjoying a powerful, professional market image. Certified ISO 9002 in 2001, and ISO 14001:2004 in 2006, the company has significantly improved product quality, to the extent that every single phase of manufacture is now meticulously controlled, from the creation of the individual part and assembly, right through to packaging. In 2001, Sicil Zappa also certified Multigarden LOVGSTÜV.

Sicil Zappa mainly produces rotary tillers, although the production line now also includes 4WD tractors, rotary cultivators, motor mowers, agricultural motors, generators, motor-driven welders, motor pumps, 4-stroke diesel motors, shelling and hulling machines for almonds and pistachios, motor compressors, and electrical shakers or combustion for olive harvesting and pruning.
